Description

Penn Stainless is seeking a qualified Accounts Receivable Clerk like YOU to join our team! Headquartered in Quakertown, Pa, we have serviced our customers for over 45 years as a full-line specialty metals service center and processer.

We are looking for an AR Clerk to work within our Accounting department to support daily cash application, manage customer accounts, and collection activities to ensure timely and accurate processing of Receivables.

Job Responsibilities:

• Apply customer payments received by cash, checks, and credit cards or bank wire.
• Research and solve payment discrepancies
• Process credit card payments, cash transfers, and customer credits
• Prepare daily manual bank deposits
• Process and verify applications for credit
• Locate and notify customers of delinquent accounts by mail, telephone, or fax to solicit payments.
• Call customers to collect open invoices and verify payment status
• Provide back-up for billing and accounts payable to cover when necessary.

Education and Experience:

• Associate degree in business or High School Diploma or GED and over 2 years' experience in credit and collections
• Prior business office experience required
