'CNC Layout/Laser Sheet Metal Processing Operator, 2nd Shift

HIRING HOURLY RANGE : 29.67

1. Layout plates for various product lines, sheets, angles, channel or bar stock for structural assembly

2. Set-up, regulate and operate CNC Laser, to burn out a wide variety of shapes and sizes for both

standard and non-standard products from ferrous metal

3. Set-up and operate all types of sheet metal equipment including Laser, brake press and wall press foaming machine to specifications

4. Set-up machine according to specifications with the proper dies and degree of angle and/or special extruding jig

5. Construct products of complex design such as but not limited to, transition pieces, elbow, etc. on various ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys

6. Perform any & all daily/weekly operator PM’s on Laser, Press Brake & Panel Foam Press equipment

7. Program machine to perform special cuts for applications which are not DNC

8. Layout and position cuts for economical use of material

9. Lay out for correct hole dimensions, for correct contours and figure allowance for bending and forming

10. Develop templates and sketches for standard products, non-standard and experimental work from drawings or sketches

11. Able to read the piece part drawings with no supervision

12. Measure, inspect and make adjustments for the correct size and bends to ensure parts meet drawing specifications

13. Use various hand tools, associated with operation of machine

14. Detect unusual conditions or material defects and report to supervision

15. Perform necessary material handling associated with the job

16. Maintain and record labor, production records in relation to time, quality, quantity and other records

17. Maintain clean, safe work area and equipment according to 5S standards

18. May be called upon to participate within special work teams performing various team related duties. Including Kaizen events, 5S programs and problem-solving exercises

19. Follow all safety policies, procedures and JHRA’s

HIRING HOURLY RANGE : 29.67 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
