Software Engineering Intern (Summer 2026)

What You’ll Do

· Develop, test, and deploy software in 2 production systems.

· Create and refine interface components for both applications, with an emphasis on maintainability and adaptability.

· Collaborate with engineering teams to identify which data and message types should be exchanged between systems.

· Update or extend visualization elements to display new operational data clearly and effectively.

· Support documentation and prepare a final project demonstration and handoff.

What You’ll Learn

· How to design and implement data-exchange interfaces in a distributed software environment.

· Techniques for improving system diagnostics and reducing dependency on multiple log sources.

· How operational data visualization supports engineering workflows.

· Cross-team collaboration across software, system, and subsystem engineering groups.

About You — Minimum Qualifications

· Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.

· Experience with C, C++, Visual Basic or another widely used programming language.

· Strong problem-solving skills and an interest in learning complex system interactions.

· Ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly within a multi-team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience working with system logs, data visualization, or distributed systems.

· Previous project or internship experience in software development.

· Interest in diagnostics, automation, or system-level integration.
