No prior rail experience? That's perfectly fine—we provide comprehensive paid training to set you up for success from day one.

Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour

• Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• (nights and weekends included—ideal for those who thrive in overnight shifts)

What You'll Do:
As a Load Planner, you'll be at the heart of keeping freight flowing efficiently across the country. Your daily responsibilities include:

• Coordinating train planning and scheduling for the terminal
• Collaborating closely with operations teams and Class 1 railroads
• Making smart, timely decisions to uphold top service levels
• Communicating regularly with managers and railroad partners
• Staying sharp on yard conditions and maintaining strong organization
• Preparing daily reports and handling office-based tasks

Medical benefits begin after 60 days (on the 1st of the month), with other benefits kicking in after 90 days. Note: Mandatory overtime and weekends are part of the role.

You'll be employed directly by Pacific Rail Services, a leader in East Coast rail terminal operations, partnering with Norfolk Southern—not by the railroad itself.

Requirements:

• Pass a drug test.
• Clear a 7-year background check.
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• No relocation assistance is available.
