2nd shift CNC Machinist | Bethlehem, PA

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour (DOE) plus shift differential

Monday-Thursday from 2:00pm-12am

Company is currently seeking 2nd shift Machinists to sets up and operate CNC Machines to order specifications.

Responsibilities:

Reads and understands setup sheet, specifications and drawings to determine setup procedures, machining sequence and dimensions of finished work piece.

Attaches fixtures to machine and position and secures work piece in fixture according to setup instructions.

Selects and installs proper cutting tools.

Loads programs in machine control unit or enters commands to retrieve machine instructions from database.

Manipulates controls and enters commands to index cutting tool to specified set point and to start machine.

Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged cutting tools.

Changes cutting tools and location of work piece during machining process as specified in instructions.

Measures and inspects first work piece for conformance to specifications and quality standards. Continues to monitor quality using AQL procedures and methods.

Maintains accurate counts and follows bar code and paperwork flow procedures.

Adjusts machine feed and speed, and changes cutters to machine parts according to specifications when needed.

Knowledge of machine operation, blueprint reading, quality inspection processes and safety standards preferred.

Must be able to change tooling!

Must be able to pull down programs to run!
