Job Summary:
The Wire Services Associate is a detail-oriented and dependable role responsible for accurately cutting electrical wire and cable to specified lengths while adhering to safety and quality standards. This position is essential to ensuring products are efficiently prepared for distribution and customer fulfillment.
Work Shift: Monday-Friday from 2 pm- 10 pm with OT
Essential Functions:
- Use wire cutting equipment to accurately measure and cut wire to specified lengths in accordance with work orders and customer specifications.
- Inspect wire and cable for defects, damage, or inconsistencies prior to cutting; report any issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including wire lengths, quantities, and product types, through WMS and/or ERP transactions, including footage marking management.
- Ensure proper labeling of products for accurate identification and retrieval.
- Prepare materials for outbound shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, packing lists, and staging.
- Collaborate with the shipping department to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Receive incoming copper and aluminum wire shipments and verify quantity and quality.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment as needed.
- Maintain high quality standards throughout all wire handling and preparation processes.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, coilers, spoolers, compartments, and A-frames.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company and regulatory safety standards.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating wire lengths.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and operational standards.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- This position is not a supervisory role and does not have any direct reports.
Work Environment:
This job operates primarily in a warehouse environment with exposure to electrical wire, machinery and material handling equipment. The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
Mental Demands:
- Ability to maintain focus and accuracy while performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet production or shipping deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills to identify and report defects, discrepancies, or inventory issues.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., move, and handle moderate-weight wire coils and materials.
- Physical ability to safely operate wire cutting and warehouse equipment.

Travel:
This position does not include overnight or branch travel.
Clearances and Certifications:
- Background check is required
- Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification as required).
- U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in wire cutting, electrical distribution, or construction preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- RF Scanner experience required.
- Strong math and measurement skills required.
- Sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.
