Travel Registered Nurse MICU Job
- Role and responsibilities: As an MICU RN, you’ll deliver meticulous, evidence-based critical care nursing for patients with complex, life-threatening conditions. Responsibilities include continuous assessment of ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients, administration and titration of vasoactive medications, arterial and venous line management, complex wound and infection control, and rapid response coordination. You’ll interpret complex telemetry, adjust plans in collaboration with physicians and the multidisciplinary team, document thoroughly, and advocate for patient and family understanding of care goals. You’ll lead care planning during rounds, mentor junior staff, and participate in quality improvement initiatives designed to elevate MICU care.
- Professional growth: This role provides ongoing opportunities to deepen expertise in advanced hemodynamics, ECMO awareness (as applicable by facility), high-fidelity simulation participation, and leadership development within critical care. Expect structured support to pursue certifications relevant to MICU practice and hospital-based professional development programs that recognize your progress.
- Competitive benefits: The position offers a competitive compensation package with weekly pay ranging from $2,245 to $2,337, reflecting your experience and the assignment specifics. You’ll receive housing assistance to ease relocation and living arrangements, plus a potential sign-on or completion bonus. Extension opportunities are available, allowing you to extend successful placements if you and the facility are aligned. A guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week ensures consistency in income and planning.
- Comprehensive support: You’ll be supported by a dedicated team available 24/7 to assist with scheduling, housing logistics, credentialing, transportation, and any clinical or personal needs that arise during travel. This ongoing support keeps you focused on patient care while reducing logistical stress.
- Safety and compliance: You’ll work within accredited facilities that adhere to the latest evidence-based practice guidelines and regulatory requirements, with ongoing access to institutional resources and safety training to safeguard patients and staff. Company Values: Our partner organizations are committed to empowering their nursing teams through clear pathways for career advancement, mentorship from seasoned MICU professionals, and a culture rooted in collaboration and respect. We champion a supportive environment where nurses are heard, valued, and equipped to grow—professionally and personally. The emphasis is on sustainable work-life integration, ethical practice, and a shared commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality critical care. You’ll join a community that recognizes your contributions, invests in your development, and celebrates the impact you have on patients, families, and colleagues alike.
