Certified Surgical Technologist

East Side Surgery Center is looking for an experienced Certified Surgical technologist to join our team.

Job Summary: 

The Surgical Technologist, under minimal supervision, performs a variety of duties in the department as a member of the surgical team. Must have the ability to scrub on all cases performed at the Center. Is responsible for the set-up an maintenance of sterile field. Assists in the opening of the supplies and equipment for the surgical cases. May assist in preparation for future cases by picking supplies, instruments, and equipment necessary  for each individual case.

Skill Requirement and Responsibilities:

1. Ability to demonstrate appropriate sterile and aseptic technique.

2. Ability to perform scrub technologist functions according to AORN Recommended practices and

procedures.

3. Ability to manage the operative field during the surgical procedure in a manner that assures

maintenance of the sterile field.

4. Knowledge of, and ability to, disinfect, clean and prepare for the sterilization, any instruments,

equipment, and supplies utilized at the Surgery Center.

5. Ability to operate equipment used in processing instrumentation, such as the ultrasonic cleaner,

washer-disinfector, steris and autoclave, using the appropriate settings.

6. Ability to prioritize and have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

7. Ability to work effectively in stressful situations.

8. Ability to work with minimal supervision.

9. Maintains all Certification required by ACT 80 of 2020.

10. Must have BLS
