Location: 222 N 20th St, Philadelphia, PA 19103 (The Franklin Institute)
Dates: May 11, 2026 (Setup) & May 14, 2026 (De-rig)
Pay: $250/day + $30 per diem
Type: 1099 Contractor | Event-Based
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Freelance IT Technician to support an upcoming event in Philadelphia. This role requires availability for both setup and de-rig days. You will be working alongside another technician during setup and independently assisting with pack-down.

Responsibilities
- Laptop setup and deployment
- Starlink WiFi setup and configuration
- Basic networking setup and troubleshooting
- Onsite technical support during setup and breakdown
- Equipment pack-down and inventory handling
Requirements
- Strong networking experience (required)
- Experience with Starlink setup and configuration preferred
- Proven experience in event IT support or similar environments
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation & Details
- $250 day rate + $30 per diem
- 1099 contractor role
- Biweekly payments
- Ongoing opportunities for future event work based on performance
