Housekeeping Aide

Edenbrook Hampton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Housekeeping Aide to join our team.
Schedule: 7:00AM - 3:00PM (including every other weekend and holiday)
Position Summary:
You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and homelike environment throughout the facility. Your work ensures the health and safety of residents, staff, and visitors while helping create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and facility spaces according to established cleaning protocols
- Perform floor care including vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and buffing
- Remove trash and soiled linens and restock supplies as needed
- Follow infection control and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to appropriate personnel
- Interact respectfully and compassionately with residents, families, and staff
- Follow cleaning schedules and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Experience in any housekeeping field preferred
- Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members and facility staff.
- Knowledge of infection control techniques.
- Ability to be patient and polite.
