As a Business Development Manager at Steven Singer Jewelers, you will play a vital role in overseeing the business operations and providing strategic guidance to support the company's growth. You will be responsible for understanding the business in depth and implementing fresh ideas related to logistics, operating procedures, staffing, and sales knowledge. This position will be based in the physical location in Philadelphia.

Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

• Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop and implement financial controls to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and other financial analyses to support decision-making.

Operational Efficiency:

• Evaluate and enhance logistics processes to optimize inventory management, supply chain efficiency, and delivery timelines.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
• Develop and implement operating procedures to streamline business operations and enhance productivity.

Staffing and Development:

• Collaborate with the HR department to determine staffing needs, recruit talented individuals, and oversee their onboarding process.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the sales team, fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
• Identify training and development needs, ensuring continuous skill enhancement for the sales staff.

Sales Strategy and Analysis:

• Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for growth and improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales performance, customer satisfaction, and retention.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop promotional campaigns and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field. MBA qualification is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Business Manager or in a similar financial/business management role.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, business strategy, and sales practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of logistics, operations, and staffing principles.
• Familiarity with the jewelry industry is a plus.
• Proficient in using financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
