Your Role at KIK

As Maintenance Mechanic I - 1st Shift you will be responsible for scheduling and performing routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic will perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electrical and hydraulic and identify and replace worn or defective parts in a timely manner.

This is a 1st shift role 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Thursday, Fridays' 6:00am-3:00pm (requires OT as needed). Pay ranges from $30-32/hr DOE and will include a $5,000 sign on bonus.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Inspects, monitors, and tests machinery and equipment
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts
• Cleans and lubricates Shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
• Assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment
• Develop sufficient understanding of all machinery used in the production process to ensure proper functioning procedures
• Adheres to all safety rules and regulations and maintains good housekeeping in all related areas
• Performs line changeovers to different products, including set-up of dilution system to proper specs
• Notifies Production Manager and Plant Manager of any equipment problems. As well as analyzing and resolving equipment problems or assisting others in solving problem’s in a helpful and timely manner
• Additional duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• High School Diploma or GED required; Technical certification preferred
• A Minimum of 2 years’ experience installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Farming equipment and auto mechanic experience is also a plus
