General Laborer

Position: General Laborer
Location: Nazareth, PA

ASGCO has a General Laborer opening for a candidate that will be responsible for general tasks and operating a company vehicle. This applicant must be able to maintain high quality work, high level of attention to detail while ensuring personal productivity and safe operation. The right candidate must be able to take ownership, keep organized neat and clean. Responsibilities:

• Drive company vehicles for deliveries and pickups
• Operate saws, cranes, and machines
• Reviews and interprets written and verbal work instructions
• Must be able to accurately read measuring devices
• Effectively prioritize workloads and use of available resources within time constraints
• Assists with keeping the shop in an orderly and clean state, following all company safety procedures
• Responsible for quality control of all jobs and orders
• Other responsibilities as seen fit by management

Requirements:

• Candidates must pass a background check and drug screen
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a DOT Certification
• Basic math skills
• Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations
• Can lift up to 100lbs, bending, kneeling, reaching and standing for long periods of time, significant fine finger dexterity

Working Conditions:

• Frequently exposed to regulated noise, cold working conditions also exposed to smells that are within the guidelines
• Possible exposure extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles
• While performing the duties of this job, you will be required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see.
• Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) during the workday
• Personal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, which may include a hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, gloves and other required protective equipment as required.
• May be required to work overtime on as needed basis.
