Position Title: Cement & Aggregates Quarry Supervisor
About the Role :
We have an excellent opportunity for a Cement & Aggregates Quarry Supervisor to join our Keystone Cement team. This exempt position will report to the Quarry Manager and be responsible for managing the daily operations of the site. Core responsibilities include ensuring that the quarry runs efficiently and safely while meeting production targets. This position will also be responsible for managing a team of employees and ensuring that they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and policies.
- Oversee all aspects of the quarry operations, including drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling of materials.
- Develop and implement plans to increase efficiency and productivity while reducing costs.
- Oversee inventory and ensure adequate supplies of raw materials to meet production demands.
- Monitor and control production schedules and ensure the timely delivery of materials to the cement plant.
- Supervise and train quarry employees and mobile equipment mechanics to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure that the quarry operations run smoothly.
- Manage heavy quarry equipment and ensure it is properly maintained and repaired, as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years’ experience in the mining industry.
- At least 5 years of experience of front line supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of quarry operations, including drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and policies.
- Familiar with MSHA regulations to ensure mining operations are safe and compliant with applicable laws.
- Knowledge of cement and aggregates manufacturing a plus.
- Knowledge of heavy mobile equipment and maintenance tracking
