About the Role

As a Mechanical Designer 2 , you’ll take designs to the next level. You’ll work closely with Project Engineers and Project Teams to create detailed 3D parts and assemblies, develop top-level drawings, and ensure every component is production-ready. This role is perfect for designers who enjoy juggling multiple projects, thrive on accuracy, and love seeing their designs evolve from screen to shop floor.

What You’ll Do

• Create 3D parts and assemblies using SolidWorks and PDM Vault

• Develop top-level assembly drawings for customer approval and manufacturing

• Generate production drawings, including flat patterns and weldments

• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to meet design and fabrication requirements

• Manage your design workload to meet manufacturing deadlines

• Partner with production teams to ensure quality and manufacturability

• Support process improvements and contribute to continuous innovation

What You Bring

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, or CAD Drafting

• Experience with SolidWorks 3D modeling and PDM Vault (SolidWorks 2021 or newer preferred)

• Strong knowledge of mechanical drafting principles, dimensioning methods, and fabrication processes

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and consistency

• Familiarity with industrial equipment design and metal fabrication is a big plus!
