Data Scientist IV
Hybrid 4 in either Pittsburgh, PA, Lake Mary, FL, or New York City, NY.
Our client seeks a Data Scientist IV to drive a greenfield analytics initiative focused on reliable, well-documented, and explainable data science solutions in a regulated environment. The role combines hands-on analytics with process leadership to shape how analytics are designed, validated, documented, and consumed across the organization.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $60.00 to $80.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:

- Design and build complex analytical models using statistical, machine learning, and advanced analytics techniques.
- Validate, document, and explain analytical results in a regulated context.
- Prioritize accuracy, repeatability, and explainability over pure predictive performance.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive process and technical documentation.
- Build and curate reliable datasets by identifying meaningful signals and filtering noise.
- Guide and advise project teams on effective analytics approaches and data usage.
- Recommend methodologies, tools, and standards for a greenfield environment.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders within an Agile delivery model.
- Contribute to or help design data pipelines.
Experience Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in data engineering fundamentals.
- Proven experience with process-heavy analytics and documentation.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Strong analytical thinking, data interpretation, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate with urgency and provide direction in evolving problem spaces.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional business and technology teams.
- Proficiency with Power BI and Tableau.
- Experience contributing to or supporting data pipelines (preferred).
- Experience in financial services or other regulated industries (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to mentor or guide teams on analytics best practices (preferred).
- Business intelligence and analytics tooling experience.
- Cloud technologies are not currently in scope for this role.

The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range. W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
