Job Overview:
The Project Manager III will lead a specific portfolio of projects and/or project teams within one area, ensuring that projects are completed to stakeholder requirements, within budget, and with minimal operational disruption. At a higher level, this role involves directing and coordinating all project or program activities, including project design management and review, to ensure major project activities are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control allocated project resources, maintaining financial and progress forecasting to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
  • Implement project tracking mechanisms to provide timely and concise updates on project progress to senior management and key stakeholders, highlighting areas of risk and capturing key decisions.
  • Identify potential conflicts in resource use and other project scheduling issues, proposing solutions and corrective actions to overcome obstacles.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, such as consultants, procurement, and business teams, to share best practices and identify potential new projects.
  • Oversee the operational workload of the project team, ensuring allocated staff are fully utilized to deliver against agreed project schedules.
  • Challenge existing project processes, technologies, and systems to continuously seek improvements and drive greater efficiencies for the business.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop assigned project resources, prioritizing work and allocating resources to ensure results are delivered in line with expectations and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including necessary approvals and permits, to ensure accurate records for review and regulatory purposes.
  • Support the creation of program charters and objectives, develop assumptions, identify risks, calculate resource requirements, and manage interdependencies with other programs to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Negotiate and approve changes to project criteria and objectives after consultation with stakeholders to improve project outcomes.
  • Promote corporate safety, environmentalism, and efficient team working to achieve business objectives and continuously improve performance.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Solid knowledge of project management fundamentals and practices.
  • Knowledge of operational systems and processes related to the area of project work.
  • Familiarity with company policies and procedures.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management software.
  • Analytical thinking skills to identify multiple relationships, causes, or consequences of situations, supporting risk management and meeting budget and timeline requirements.

Pay Range: $80 - $85

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
