Project Engineer
Prysmian is the world leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry. We need a hands - on project manager who will work in team to coordinate and complete projects on time within budget and scope, leading investments that span from bricks and mortars, utilities and up to purchasing, installing and commissioning cable machineries for the final hand - over to the Plant.
Nature & Scope
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Capital Projects, the incumbent will be working on-site with plant Engineering Managers and manufacturing teams to ensure capital project success. Specifically, we are looking for a dedicated professional able to:

Master CAD drawings (2D and 3D) to guarantee the layout of our plants and machineries are always updated and well maintained.

Help the team check and supervise machinery foundations and subsequent equipment installation, thanks to the extensive knowledge in steel and concrete.
Project Engineer responsibilities:

Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

Ensure resource availability and allocation to deliver the projects on-time, within scope and budget
-
Coordinate internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of the project

Delegate project tasks based on members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels

Be present onsite for the most critical parts of the project to ensure no disconnect happens

Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress

Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
-
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
-
Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members

Perform other related duties as assigned
Project Engineer requirements:
-
Strong leadership skills: can lead a team of individuals at various levels within the organization through coaching and mentoring.

Proven working experience in project management: has successfully managed large, complex projects within budgeted resources to completion with outstanding results.

Excellent developer of people; able to achieve results through others.

Outstanding communications and presentation skills

Developing and Tracking Budgets
-
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.

Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience. Civil / Structural / Mechanical Engineering Degrees preferred.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
-
Strong AutoCAD experience or similar design/drafting software knowledge

On - field overseeing of daily operations for the most critical parts of the project.

Travel up to an average of 60% of the time, depending on the specific phase of the project.
