About the Role

Picture your day starting with a walk-through of the production floor. You review the maintenance log, prioritize a preventive check on a vacuum glass lifter, and then tune a silicone pump to keep a critical line running smoothly. A call comes in from the shop—an operator needs help diagnosing a vibration on a piece of production machinery. You observe the symptoms, trace the root cause, and restore the equipment to full health. Before lunch, you knock out monthly safety inspections; in the afternoon, you coordinate with production planning to time a repair that prevents downtime. By shift end, you’ve updated inventory, ordered parts, and trained an operator on basic care for a rebuilt component.

What You’ll Own

• Preventive maintenance on facility assets, including vacuum glass lifters, silicone pumps, and other production machinery
• Hands-on repair work in both the shop and on the production floor
• Systematic troubleshooting: observe performance, diagnose faults, and implement fixes
• Timely response to maintenance calls and work orders assigned by your supervisor
• Monthly safety inspections across designated facility areas
• Minor building upkeep (e.g., drywall patching, painting)
• Basic electrical tasks in office spaces (LED bulb and driver replacements, etc.)
• Downtime reduction through proactive PM and prompt corrective actions
• Schedule alignment with production planning to minimize operational impact
• Part repair/rebuild using machining capabilities
• Maintenance supply control: track usage, order materials, and verify receipts
• Safe-work practices aligned with company policies and regulatory standards
• Operator coaching on correct equipment use and basic maintenance
• Ongoing development—keep current with new techniques and best practices
• Support broader production and maintenance objectives as needed

Skills & Abilities

• Familiarity with LEAN methods and 5S workplace organization
• Exposure to robotics/automation is a plus
• Strong diagnostic mindset and root-cause problem solving
• Self-directed; able to execute with minimal supervision
• Reliable organization and time management
• Safety-first attitude and policy compliance
• Clean, orderly work habits
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to work overtime as needed
• Comfort with ladders and operating a scissor lift

Physical Requirements

• Comfort with repetitive lifting and physically demanding work
• Capable of safely moving items up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a maintenance technician or closely related role
• Electrical and/or welding background preferred
• Basic understanding of plumbing and compressed air systems
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Technical certification in maintenance or a related discipline (preferred)
