Job Title: Human Biological Sample Manager Associate Archivist

Location: Upper Merion – Full onsite

Number of Positions: 2

Contract Duration: December 1, 2025 – June 1, 2026 (6-month contract)

Maximum Pay Rate: $33.50/hr max



Job Description / Responsibilities:

This role offers the opportunity to play a key role in all aspects of human sample bank operations, including:

• Receiving, inspecting, accessioning, archiving, retrieving, labeling, packaging, and shipping human biological samples while maintaining accurate LIMS records .

• Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for intake, inspection, registration, quality control, archiving, and retrieval to ensure compliance and data integrity.

• Assisting with equipment management and maintenance to ensure performance meets sample bank quality standards.

• Complying with applicable standards and best practices, including CLIA, CAP, GCP, GLP, GDPR, HIPAA, Common Rule, HTA , etc.

• Maintaining accuracy and quality control of electronic patient and sample data files, as well as departmental records and reports, in line with regulatory and compliance standards.

• Participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation for responding to temperature excursions and/or equipment failures.

• Performing other duties as assigned.

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, EST time zone

Candidate Requirements:

Must-Have Skills / Experience:

• 1–2 years of experience in a tissue collection and processing environment or closely related field.

• Results-oriented, highly organized, detail-focused, with strong time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint , and data entry ; knowledge of data analysis and data management .

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred / Additional Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field.

• Broad understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and the drug development process .

• Previous experience with sample management , particularly in a large sample bank using Lab Information Management System (LIMS) .Proven ability to adapt and perform effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment .
