As a **Security Officer - Academic Campus Patrol** in **Philadelphia, PA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment for students, faculty, and visitors. **What You'll Do:**
+ Provide customer service to clients, faculty, staff, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to maintain a secure environment within the educational location.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any unusual conditions.
+ Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities.
+ Communicate clearly and professionally with individuals on site and Allied Universal management regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.
+ Support campus policies and procedures by providing guidance to individuals and reporting violations as necessary.
+ Assist in emergency response activities, including evacuations and/or lockdowns, following Allied Universal protocols.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Must be at least 21 years of age.
+ The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.
+ The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
