We’re currently seeking dedicated Floor Technicians for Luther Acres, the Luthercare community in Lititz, PA. We currently have a full-time position, available Monday through Friday 8am-4pm, with no weekend requirements.

WHAT YOU DO:

As a Floor Technician at Luther Acres, you’re an integral part of ensuring our buildings, equipment, and vehicles are safe and well-maintained by utilizing your semi-skilled and skilled trades experience. You’ll do this by performing a variety of duties, including, but not limited to:

1. Perform a variety of cleaning tasks such as dust and polishes furniture; stock supplies; clean wash basins, tubs, and commodes; empty wastepaper baskets in resident, employee, and client areas.
2. Perform dry and wet mopping of floors and operate vacuums, extractors and pressure washers, and washers and dryers.
3. Collect and dispose of garbage in designated areas and manage containers.
4. Completes and/or assists with set up and tear down for special functions as needed.
5. Maintain equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.

Qualifications/Requirements:

1. A Valid PA Driver’s License
2. Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
3. Ability to walk continuously, bend frequently, climb occasionally and sit occasionally.
4. Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds frequently.
5. Ability to perform the functions required to push large carts, handcarts, appliance dollies and vacuum cleaners/carpet extractors.

Preferred Job-Related Experience/Abilities/Education:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. One (1) year experience performing basic custodial functions.
3. One (1) year experience performing floor maintenance.
4. Basic computer skills.
