Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and collaborative Lead Interior Designer to join our
team. This role is ideal for a design professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented
environment and is excited to lead projects from concept through completion.
You will play a key role in shaping the design vision for high-end residential projects while also
contributing to boutique commercial work. As a leader within the design team, you will mentor
junior designers, collaborate closely with architecture and construction teams, and ensure every
project reflects both creative excellence and real-world buildability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead interior design projects from initial concept through final installation
- Develop thoughtful, functional, and aesthetically compelling design solutions
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, lifestyle, and goals
- Work closely with architects, estimators, and project managers to align design with budget and construction feasibility
- Oversee material selections, finishes, fixtures, and furnishings
- Produce and review drawings, presentations, and specifications
- Guide clients through a structured, organized design process
- Mentor and support junior designers, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and site visits
- Ensure designs are executed accurately and maintain design intent throughout construction
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of experience in residential interior design (design-build experience preferred)
- Strong portfolio showcasing high-end residential work (boutique commercial a plus)
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar. (Lumion is plus)
- Exceptional eye for detail, materials, and spatial planning
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative mindset with a passion for teamwork and problem-solving
