Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Johnstown, PA 15905 (Pennsylvania nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 2, 2025 – December 2, 2025)
• Employment Type: Travel RN
• Setting: Cardiac Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (07:00–19:00); open to rotating shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call Requirement: As needed
• Unit Size: 20 beds
• Patient Ratio: 5:1 to 6:1
• Electronic Health Record: EPIC

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown or Telemetry nursing
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to float within the resource team as needed
• Completion of all required Pennsylvania clearances (Child Abuse, State Police, FBI Fingerprinting) prior to start
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Provide intermediate cardiac care and telemetry monitoring for adult and geriatric patients
• Manage acute cardiac conditions: MI, ACS, CHF, arrhythmias, and post-operative cardiac procedures
• Administer IV infusions, monitor arterial lines, and deliver post-interventional cardiac care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately in the EPIC EHR system
• Participate in unit orientation and ongoing nursing education
