Human Resources Generalist
Marburger Farm Dairy, a family-owned and operated business since 1938, is dedicated to providing high-quality local dairy products and exceptional service to our customers. We are seeking a detail-oriented and approachable Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This full-time, on-site position plays a key role in supporting our employees and management, ensuring a positive workplace culture, and maintaining effective HR processes.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions and requests, addressing employee relations issues in collaboration with management.
- Support managers with employee corrective action forms, performance improvement plans, and other performance or disciplinary matters.
- Manage the performance review process, including tracking review dates and assisting managers with preparation and execution.
- Prepare and maintain accurate employee files and records.
- Assist with recruitment efforts, including writing and posting job advertisements, reviewing resumes, conducting phone and in-person interviews, and providing recommendations to management.
- Administer employee leave programs, track participation, and maintain communication with employees on leave.
- Promote HR programs to foster an efficient and positive workplace environment.
- Plan and coordinate monthly safety and manager meetings.
- Complete annual and monthly state reporting requirements.
- Communicate important updates to employees through a monthly newsletter.
- File Workers’ Compensation and Automobile claims as needed.
- Assist ownership with various tasks as required.
- Ensure employees are informed about available benefits and assist with benefits administration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant Human Resources experience, or proven experience and high performance as an HR Generalist.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Working knowledge of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening.
