We are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager to join a fast-paced, food manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this role will act as the financial leader on-site, driving strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and operational partnership across the plant. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives in a high-accountability environment and is passionate about cost visibility, inventory accuracy, and continuous financial improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the plant general ledger ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls, including segregation of duties and approval workflows
• Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and payroll processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Lead cost accounting activities including standard costing, BOMs, labor, and overhead allocation
• Analyze manufacturing variances (material, labor, overhead, scrap, yield) and partner with operations to drive improvements
• Manage inventory valuation and lead cycle counts and physical inventory processes
• Prepare monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Act as the primary contact for external auditors and ensure audit readiness
• Track capital expenditures and support depreciation and capitalization processes
• Drive system improvements, reporting enhancements, and ERP utilization
• Provide financial insights to corporate finance, plant leadership, and PE stakeholders
• Promote financial discipline and accountability across the site

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CMA preferred)
• 5+ years of manufacturing accounting experience (food or process manufacturing preferred)
• Strong experience with cost accounting, inventory, AP, AR, and payroll
• Proven leadership and team management experience
• Experience supporting external audits in a manufacturing environment
• ERP system experience (NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics, Oracle, Infor, etc.)
