Summary:

The Pricebook Manager would oversee and lead a team of Pricebook analysts along with retaining ownership of the overall retail operation's price book. The position would work in conjunction with Category Managers in achieving category goals through the management of pricing, promotions, and rebates. They will be responsible for data accuracy in the master Pricebook file, vendor costs, base price, and promotion retail prices. This role will ensure that all item data flows correctly from the merchant or vendor to the store by researching and resolving problems with supplier costs, invoices, incorrect promotions, and items not scanning at point of sale. The position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, self-motivation, computer skills, and communication skills. This position would report directly to the Director of Accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter, update,verify accuracy of information in Pricebook system, including costsretail values
  • Ensure changes in promotional and rebate programs are reflected in Pricebook system for accurate accounting and vendor reconciliation
  • Maintain vendor items with standard and promotional cost information
  • Build rules and price zones in Pricebook to accurately reflect the needs of the business
  • Enter and audit PDI invoicing information and ensure accuracy in the system
  • Work in partnership with Category Managers on upcoming pricing changes and strategies
  • Become an expert user of Pricing and Promotions tools, providing feedback on future enhancements, and conducting user testing of new releases as needed

SkillsQualifications:

  • Preferred supervisory experience working in retail or in an office environment, retail merchandising, or data analysis
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form at all levels
  • Knowledge and use of Price Book module in PDI Enterprise at both store and host level
  • Analytical acumen and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills with advanced Excel Skills (preferred)

EducationExperience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business or Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of industry experience with demonstration of analytic and information driven experiences

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment
  • Ability to view computer screens for prolonged periods and read printed and digital materials
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, or moving of files, documents, or office materials weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and grasp as needed to retrieve or organize materials
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment and input data accurately
  • Ability to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels
