Pay Rate: $30-40/hr. (based on experience)

Location: York, PA (Primarily Local Work)

Description:

• Cannonball Recruiting is seeking multiple Heavy Equipment Operators for a paving and excavating company located in York, PA.

Requirements:

• HS Diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record is required
• Previous asphalt paving experience is highly desired

Job Duties:

• Ensure precise operation of heavy machinery to create smooth, durable surfaces, and hold a grade
• Daily Inspection: Conducts a thorough pre shift walk around to check fluid levels (oil, fuel, hydraulic), tire pressure, and track tension.
• Participates in paving plan and site-specific hazards.
• Communication: coordinate with the foreman, truck drivers, and ground crew
• Post-Inspection: Performs a final check for wear or damage and logs equipment hours or technical issues for the maintenance shop
• Equipment Cleaning: Uses release agents to remove asphalt from buckets, drums, hoppers, and conveyors to prevent buildup.
• Site Support: Assists the crew with manual labor, such as shovel and raking to finish edges and joints once equipment work is complete
