Job DescriptionLawn Specialties is looking for a motivated and reliable Lawn Technician with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to customer service. Our technicians serve both residential and commercial clients, ensuring timely lawn and tree treatments, addressing customer concerns through service calls and other communication channels, and driving growth by selling or upselling services to both new and existing customers. Additionally, technicians offer detailed product and service information while resolving any technical issues. Daily tasks include completing production reports, new sales forms, customer invoices, and vehicle inspection reports.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Measuring and mixing lawn care products
- Applying fertilizers, weed control, and insect control treatments
- Operating lawn care machinery
- Completing invoices and keeping organized application records
- Conducting lawn assessments, including identifying weeds and grass types
- Responding to customer inquiries with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
EDUCATION:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Valid driver’s license with 5+ years of clean driving experience.
- Ability to operate trucks up to 1 ton (CDL not required).
- Pesticide license is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service and sales skills are required.
- Must be able to lift between 50-100 pounds.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of small equipment, mechanical skills, and maintenance is a plus.
- ABILITY TO TRAVEL AWAY FROM HOME IN NJ (hotel expenses paid by the Company).
Willing to train the right candidate who may not yet have all the necessary skills!
