Behavioral Health Therapist - Full-Time (LCSW or LPC) East Liberty Family Health Care Center (ELFHCC)

ELFHCC is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Therapist (40 hours/week) to join our growing team of providers committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to individuals and families across Pittsburgh's communities.

Role Overview

The Behavioral Health Therapist provides 1:1 counseling and psychosocial support to patients experiencing mental health challenges including trauma, addiction, and abuse. You'll also advocate for patients and connect them with essential community resources, all within a supportive, collaborative care team environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling to patients with diverse behavioral health needs
• Conduct psychosocial assessments covering social, cultural, and clinical factors
• Develop and implement care plans tailored to patient preferences and needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and referrals
• Maintain regular patient contact to assess progress and evolving needs
• Document care accurately and in compliance with regulations and best practices

Qualifications

• Current LCSW or LPC licensure in Pennsylvania required
• Experience with trauma, abuse, and chemical dependency
• Comfortable working with underserved and diverse populations
• Prior healthcare or community health experience a plus
• Bilingual/Spanish-speaking candidates strongly preferred

Retention Bonus

• $5,000 after completion of the first year of tenure
• Additional $5,000 awarded after the second year
