Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Document Control Administrator to support both administrative and document control functions for technical project teams. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, experience managing engineering documentation, and the ability to adapt to various client document management systems while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Job Description
- Manage project documentation throughout its lifecycle, including receipt, review, distribution, filing, and archival.
- Format, edit, and maintain documents using Microsoft Office applications to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain document control processes and ensure compliance with client and project requirements.
- Upload, track, and manage files within client-owned document management systems such as SharePoint, Newforma, and other document control portals.
- Coordinate with engineering and technical teams to process drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
- Monitor document revisions and maintain accurate version control.
- Assist with general administrative tasks, including document preparation, record keeping, scheduling, and project support.
- Support workflow improvements by adapting to different client processes and document control systems.
- Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and distributed to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidentiality and organization of project records and documentation.
Skills Required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in document control, administrative support, or a related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook, with strong document formatting skills.
- Experience working with engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, or other technical documents.
- Familiarity with document management systems such as SharePoint, Newforma, or similar client document control platforms.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing workflows and client requirements.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with technical and project teams.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting engineering, construction, or technical project environments preferred.
- Familiarity with multiple client document control systems and project documentation standards preferred
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary technical teams preferred
Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Degree or GED
