Cookie Decorator and Baker for our Cookie Kitchen at the Reading Terminal Market

MUST HAVE COOKIE AND CAKE DECORATING SKILLS

Tasks include:

• Fulfill all gift orders including Cookie Trays, Gold Gift Boxes, Cakes, and Specialty items
• Create a calendar for all orders that will be fulfilled at the RTM Cookie Kitchen
• Decorate Cookie Cakes and Specialty Cookies.
• Package cookies in appropriate boxes, trays, or containers. Add ribbons and gift tags to appropriate boxes. 
• Ensure station and refrigerator is fully stocked with appropriate materials including trayed up pucks, back up dough boxes, Cookie and cake decorating items, and brownies.
• Keep area stocked with back up including wrap, gift boxes, trays and shipping boxes.
• Rotate and prioritize aging cookie dough. Be mindful of production dates on box.
• Conduct periodic quality checks of finished products.
• Record waste on appropriate forms.
• Daily Clean and Sanitize: Tables, Refrigerators and Floors
• Weekly Clean: Designated trays, fudge containers, chocolate container and under table storage
• Alert management when low on ribbons, gift tags, e-commerce inserts, decorating items, GGBs, and other cookie packaging items
• Make a list of dough needed to stock the refrigerator and alert manager before the end of the day.
• Tray up cookies for retail, e-commerce, and RTM orders before leaving the afternoon prior.

Baking

• Tray up cookie pucks and bake cookies for all gift orders.
• Assist baker in existing booth with overflow and specialty items that need to be baked
• Bake all items for special events
• Bake cookie cakes and back up cookie cakes

Customer Service

• Be the face of the Famous Cookie Kitchen
• Take pre-orders for gift items at RTM
• Sell customers specialty items that are for purchase that day
• Be able to answer questions about gift items and orders

Sales

• Come up with new ideas for specialty items to sell out of the cookie kitchen.
• Create a list of events and holidays and specialty items that can be sold during those events.
