Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Associate to join our accounting team for a part time position. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in accounting functions, particularly in receiving and processing container shipments , and be familiar with ERP systems used in inventory and accounting operations.

Monday thru Friday

9am to 2pm (some flexibility)

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile incoming container shipments
• Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to verify inventory and shipping documents
• Record transactions accurately in the ERP system (e.g., inventory receipts, freight costs, duties)
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable entries
• Perform reconciliations between purchase orders, receiving reports, and invoices
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
• Other administrative or accounting tasks as needed
• Qualifications:
• 2+ years of accounting experience (experience in logistics, importing, or inventory handling is a plus)
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems
• Familiarity with receiving container shipments and related documentation (BOL, packing lists, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Preferred Skills (Not Required):

• Experience with international shipping documentation
• Knowledge of customs, duties, or import taxes
