Job Description

• Machine Operators control large abrasive metal grinding/polishing machines.
• Work days consist of independent tasks as well as two-person tasks.
• Operators are trusted with various manufacturing responsibilities and execute all shop floor disciplines including machine operations, finished polish inspections, raw material evaluation, prep and packing of completed work, and the handling and protection of our customer's steel.
• Training consists of proper use and safety with overhead cranes, loading and unloading of tractor trailers, operating belt polishing machines, light machine maintenance, measuring instruments, hand tools and power tools such as grinders, sanders, and limited TIG/MIG welding. In addition to full documentation of job orders, production record systems, final product quality checks, and calibration records.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes
• Proficient in basic math and machining techniques
• Familiarity with crane operation and safety protocols
• Experience with CNC machinery, including laser cutting and programming
• Ability to read blueprints and utilize precision measuring instruments
• Skilled in fabrication and quality inspection processes
