Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Terminal Operator to join our team. This role involves multiple duties, including handling silica material, packaging, and operating machinery. You will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth operations and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Attach a large bag to a chute to catch silica material and operate a lever to control the volume according to order specifications. Monitor the scale for accurate weight.
• Lift 50lb bags from a waist-high table and stack them on a nearby pallet, with new bags arriving every 30 seconds.
• Seal and scan labels onto filled bags of material.
• After one month, you may be asked to drive a forklift, with training provided.
• Potentially drive trucks within the facility after training, but not on public roads and not within the first month.
• Perform general cleanup of work stations to maintain a safe and tidy environment.

Essential Skills

• Experience with general labor and handling hand tools.
• Proficiency in packing and packaging.
• Forklift operation experience is beneficial.
• Ability to lift 50lb consistently.
• Capability to get a respirator fit.
• Experience working in hot and cold environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in oil and gas industries.
• Skills in loading and unloading materials.
• Adaptability to work in fluctuating temperatures.

Work Environment

The position is based on a 1st shift schedule from 6am-6pm. Employees receive a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks, which are available but not mandatory. The average work week can range from 5 to 7 days, and flexibility to work any shift is required. The work environment involves exposure to varying temperatures and requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eighty Four, PA.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
