Job Description

As a Facilities Technician, you will perform a wide range of maintenance tasks requiring skill, training, and experience in facility management. Your role will involve replacing windows, repairing plumbing issues, and maintaining apartment appliances. You will also prepare vacant units for new occupancy through tasks such as patching, painting, and installing new fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Replace windows, window glass, and screens.
• Repair plumbing issues including clogged drains, pipes, facets, and toilets.
• Repair covers for switches and outlets.
• Replace and repair apartment appliances, including ranges and refrigerators.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy, including patching and painting walls, replacing cabinets and countertops, and stripping and waxing floors.
• Perform necessary plumbing and electrical upgrades as needed.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of five years of experience in building maintenance, construction, plumbing, electrical repair, HVAC, carpentry, or mechanical work.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Word and Excel).
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and insurable under the company's plan.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lykens, PA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Lykens,PA.
