Forming Machine Production Operator
Step into a day on our production floor
When your shift begins—whether it’s 7:00am, 3:00pm, or 11:00pm—you’ll take command of a zone of forming machines, ensuring cartons roll off the line to exacting specifications. You’ll scan performance dashboards, listen for subtle changes in machine rhythm, and keep an eye on waste, efficiency, and utilization to meet or exceed standards. If something’s off, you’ll diagnose the issue, make precise adjustments, and return the line to peak performance.
Throughout your shift, you’ll perform regular quality checks and immediately correct any defects you discover. You’ll handle minor repairs during production and changeovers, execute purge procedures when switching products (and complete the required checklists), and follow LOTO and alternative LOTO procedures. Weekly, you’ll conduct routine machine maintenance. Before you clock out, you’ll connect with the previous or next operator and your supervisor to share insights and pass along any notes on machine behavior across the department.
