Groundskeeper, Assisi House

Description: Seeking a Full Time Groundskeeper to maintain grounds.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M., with on-call responsibilities and potential weekend work as well.

Key duties include:

• Responsible for all aspects of groundskeeping, including: mowing, trimming, planting, snow removal, and cemetery work, using various landscape and snow equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, snow plows, backhoe)

• Must follow safety procedures and use protective gear while performing physically demanding tasks outdoors in all weather conditions (e.g., lifting up to 50 lbs, standing or bending for extended periods)

• Works collaboratively with the grounds team and communicates respectfully with residents, coworkers, and supervisors; expected to contribute positively to team efforts and attend regular staff meetings

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision, adapt to changing priorities, and be available for extended or emergency hours (especially during weather events)

• Expected to support the values and mission of the Sisters of St. Francis, maintain a professional appearance, and adhere to all facility, HR, and departmental policies

Key requirements include:

• Able to lift 25 lbs. and perform physical tasks

• Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Alignment with the mission of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia
