Description:

ENG- Perform component engineering analysis of aerospace electronic hardware to evaluate compliance with military specifications and support non-standard part approval processes. Review electronic components, assemblies, and documentation while supporting quality, obsolescence management, and lifecycle activities for electronic systems.

#Education & Job Requirements

*Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or Materials Engineering

*3+ years of experience working to MIL-STD-11991 requirements and developing non-standard part approval requests (NSPARs) for Department of Defense organizations
*Demonstrate prior experience interpreting manufacturer datasheets, source control drawings, and Bills of Material
*Exhibit a strong understanding of active and passive electronic piece parts
*Apply knowledge of electronic device manufacture and operation
*2 - 4 years of experience with Power Electronics
*2 - 4 years of experience writing technical documents and end-user documentation
*2 - 4 years of experience with Circuit Design
*2 - 4 years of experience performing Electronic Component Testing
*2 - 4 years of experience with Electronic Device Physics
*2 - 4 years of experience with Semiconductor Manufacturing

*Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

*Familiarity with Destructive Physical Analysis
*Knowledge of Particle Impact Noise Detection Testing
*Understanding of MIL-STD-883 test methods

#Job Duties & Functions

*Review aerospace hardware designs and evaluate compliance with military specifications, including MIL-STD-11991
*Assess electrical and electronic equipment designs, including piece parts, circuit card assemblies, wires and harnesses, and electromechanical assemblies
*Develop non-standard part approval requests (NSPARs) for Department of Defense organizations
*Interpret manufacturer datasheets, source control drawings, and Bills of Material (BOMs)
*Participate in resolving issues involving conflicting design requirements, unsuitable standard materials, and difficult coordination requirements
*Plan and conduct analysis, inspection, design, test, and integration activities to assure product and component quality
*Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records
*Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods to analyze data and evaluate component acceptability
*Support the end-to-end process of capturing, designing, developing, testing, manufacturing, and life-cycle support of electronic systems
*Manage detailed part-level obsolescence activities, including monitoring BOMs, resolving issues, scheduling implementation of fixes, identifying new sources, and preventing production line stoppages
*Coordinate with design engineers, vendors, and other functional areas to support program objectives
*Enforce PMPCP compliance requirements
*Present technical information and program updates to program management and customers
