Warehouse Operations Supervisor

Our client, a logistics and distribution company, is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor for a temporary assignment at their Harrisburg facility. This role oversees daily warehouse activities including receiving, order fulfillment, and shipping to support a high-volume distribution center during a peak seasonal period.

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor will manage a team of warehouse associates, coordinate shift schedules, and ensure inventory accuracy across the facility. The position requires close collaboration with transportation and inventory control teams to meet daily throughput targets.

This assignment is expected to run through the end of the year, with the possibility of extension based on business needs and performance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse operations across receiving and shipping
• Assign tasks and monitor productivity of warehouse associates
• Coordinate with inventory control to maintain stock accuracy
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety walkthroughs
• Track and report daily throughput and performance metrics
• Train new warehouse staff on equipment and procedures
• Resolve operational issues and escalate as needed
• Maintain accurate shift logs and inventory documentation

Requirements

• 5 or more years of warehouse or distribution experience
• Prior supervisory or lead experience in a warehouse setting
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems
• Experience operating or overseeing forklift operations
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a fast paced distribution environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required
