Orthotics & Prosthetics Technician
We are seeking a hands-on Orthotics & Prosthetics Technician (O&P Technician) to support the production, customization, and repair of patient-specific prosthetic and orthotic devices. This role is essential to ensuring devices are fabricated accurately, finished to high-quality standards, and delivered on time to support patient mobility and independence.
The ideal candidate has prior experience in an O&P lab, medical device manufacturing, or another technical fabrication environment and thrives in a detail-oriented, team-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and modify prosthetic and orthotic components according to clinician specifications
- Assist with device preparation, finishing, and fitting support
- Troubleshoot and repair damaged or worn prosthetic and orthotic devices
- Maintain inventory of fabrication materials, components, and supplies
- Support lab workflow, production timelines, and operational efficiency
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality control, and infection-control guidelines
- Document work orders and device modifications accurately
Requirements
- Prior experience in orthotics & prosthetics (O&P) labs , manufacturing, or hands-on technical roles preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with fabrication tools and machinery
- Ability to work with materials such as plastics, carbon fiber, composites, and metals
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a clinical team
- Commitment to precision, safety, and quality workmanship
