General Manager
The General Manager will be responsible for managing shop operations, leading staff, ensuring profitability, and maintaining high service standards. This role requires strong hands-on leadership, operational knowledge, and experience in the automotive or heavy-duty truck repair industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily shop operations and workflow
- Manage and lead technicians, service advisors, and support staff
- Ensure high-quality repairs and customer satisfaction
- Monitor financial performance through efficiency, productivity, cost controls
- Handle customer concerns and build long-term relationships
- Maintain inventory, vendor relationships, and parts ordering
- Maintain high standards for safety and ensure compliance with industry regulations
- Oversee day-to-day shop operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity
- Hire, train, and develop team members
- At least 3+ years of experience in a management role (automotive or truck repair preferred)
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Solid understanding of truck repair operations (mechanical, body and mobile)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage budgets and improve profitability
- Experience with shop management and estimating systems a plus
- Ability to multitask and solve problems under pressure
