Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) for a travel contract job near Pittsburgh, PA. This 13-week assignment takes place at a busy Level II Trauma Center, offering a fast-paced clinical environment and the chance to work alongside an experienced diagnostic imaging team. Ideal candidates are adaptable, detail-oriented, and thrive under pressure in trauma-level care settings.
Job Details
Location: Near Pittsburgh, PA
Setting: Hospital Level II Trauma Center
Discipline: Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist
Shift: Rotating schedule of 2x8-hour and 2x12-hour shifts, covering both days and evenings (Monday - Friday)
Contract Length: 13 weeks, with possibility of extension
Responsibilities
Perform routine and urgent diagnostic X-ray procedures with accuracy and timeliness
Operate fixed and portable radiographic equipment in trauma, inpatient, and outpatient settings
Ensure patient safety and comfort while following imaging protocols and maintaining infection control
Communicate effectively with radiologists, nursing, and emergency staff in a high-acuity setting
Qualifications
Required: ARRT (R) certification and BLS (AHA)
License: Pennsylvania RT license, or willingness to obtain
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital-based radiology department
Preferred: Previous trauma center experience and comfort with portable imaging workflows
