Counter Sales and Warehouseman

The primary purpose of this position is to work in the warehouse/counter sales area to ensure customer's needs are met efficiently through effective hands on receiving/warehousing/shipping activities and successful customer relations experiences. This work will include unloading/loading trucks, stocking shelves, picking/pulling products to fill orders and providing premier customer service at our counter.

Position Responsibilities:

• Obtain knowledge of a wide range of products and communicate effectively about these products with internal/external customers.
• Service walk-in/phone customers by entering orders using a multiple tier pricing system.
• Learn the warehouse management system to be able to put on sales orders, look up product/inventory information, and to assist with shipping and receiving when necessary.
• Pick and stage customer orders using RF technology.
• Replenish retail bin locations to ensure accurate inventory and to make items readily available for walk-in customers.
• Load orders into customer vehicles either by hand or using material handling equipment.
• General housekeeping to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Follow all safety rules and policies including operating all types of material handling equipment.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalency
• Knowledge and familiarity with plumbing products (pipe, valves, fittings, supply lines, water heaters, hand & power tools, etc.) used in commercial & residential, and/or municipal applications preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer experience
• Strong organizational skills to be able to handle a varied workload/ job.
• Must be capable of working well with fellow employees.
• Effective communication skills required.
• Standing/walking on concrete for extending periods of time.
• Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
