Faculty Exempt Job Summary: Job Duties: VISITING FACULTY POSITIONS IN ACCOUNTING The Freeman College of Management at Bucknell University seeks two full-time, visiting faculty members qualified to teach undergraduate accounting courses. We have needs in the following areas: Introduction to Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Audit, and Managerial Accounting. The appointment will start in August 2026 and last for one academic year (August 2026 - May 2027). The Freeman College, an AACSB-accredited unit, offers innovative professional education in the context of one of the nation's leading liberal arts universities. We believe that an education that combines technical skills and deep intellectual exploration is the best preparation for thoughtful and capable leaders. Thus, we seek faculty members capable of contributing to this mission. We also embrace the teacher-scholar model. Although visiting faculty are not required to engage in research, we look with particular favor on those who are making creative intellectual contributions to both teaching and scholarship in their fields. The teaching load for visiting faculty members is six classes per year. A record of excellence in undergraduate teaching is required. Qualified candidates will have completed or be near completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree (DBA, ScD), or have at least a Master's degree in a relevant field supplemented by substantial professional experience within accounting. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. FREEMAN COLLEGE MAJORS AT BUCKNELL Our innovative curriculum and world-class teacher-scholars earned Freeman College a consistent top 20 ranking in Poets & Quants' annual survey of undergraduate business programs. The approximately 700 students in the Freeman College of Management may choose among seven majors offered by highly interdisciplinary departments that combine courses in the various disciplines of management with offerings in the arts, humanities, natural and social sciences, and engineering.
