General Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant FOH Manager to join our high-energy hospitality team at Mamajuana Cafe Philly . You will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while managing all front-of-house operations during opening, mid, or closing shifts in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain professionalism at all times (appearance, punctuality, communication, leadership)

• Lead by example and uphold company standards

• Drive revenue growth through service excellence and upselling strategies

• Manage FOH inventory and supplies

• Support marketing and promotional initiatives

• Maintain entry, lobby, dining room, and host stand organization

• Effectively manage reservations and waitlists

• Ensure cleanliness of dining areas and restrooms

• Oversee guest services and resolve concerns promptly and professionally

• Train, coach, mentor, and evaluate FOH staff

• Interview and onboard new team members

• Manage employee relations and resolve conflicts

• Create and adjust staff schedules based on business needs

• Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–5 years of restaurant management experience (full-service required)

• Experience in high-volume, fast-paced restaurants

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)

• Strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

• Professional, energetic, and guest-focused personality

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
