Telecom Purchasing Agent

Summary
The Telecommunications Purchasing Agent is responsible for providing fiscal support to ensure accurate invoice processing, expenditure tracking and providing general office administration duties.
Essential Duties
- Process all invoices received from vendors
- Create check requests/requisitions
- Obtain approval for check requests/ requisitions and process to accounts payable.
- Respond to questions relating to the accounts
- Assist in preparation and ongoing maintenance of annual budget. Provide data related to forecasting Telecom Costs for future budgets.
- Maintain data base of all mobile devises issued to county personnel.
- Prepare reports on these devises to include approved users, usage and so forth for the department and the county departments.
- Ensure that the county departments are appropriately charged for mobile devises.
- Update, monitor and analyze all expenditures.
- Provide backup support for all department purchasing functions.
- Provide backup support for general office administration functions to cover when others are out.
- Perform other duties, tasks and special projects, as required.
Qualifications
Qualifications / Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Six months to one year of job-related experience and/or training.
- Intermediate skill to use a personal computer.
- Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.
- Customer service experience.
- Strong time management skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and proceed with objectives.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidential information and handle confidential matters.
- Ability to update and maintain department database.
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of county management.

Additional Information
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have:
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
- Intermediate OutLook skills (Email, Calendar and Contacts)
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. Occasionally, the employee will need to stand and walk.
