POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for providing financial advice to clients to help them achieve their financial goals. Helping organizations, their leaders, and their employees integrate their faith and finances through their investment, insurance, banking, and charitable giving decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  1. Provide holistic investment, insurance, and charitable giving advice and financial counsel to organizations, their leaders, and their employees throughout the PA Region. Maintain a strong knowledge of Everence products.
  2. Generate new business and sales of products within designated region.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service, regular communication, and proactive outreach.
  4. Build trust with clients through professional competency and empathy.
  5. Cultivate connections and proactively deepen relationships to generate cross-sales and new opportunities.
  6. Function effectively as part of a consultant team approach.
  7. Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of all Everence-offered products and services.
  8. Periodically make group presentations, including to company boards, finance committees etc.
  9. Achieve required licensures and complete continuing education credits and compliance requirements as needed to maintain all licenses.
  10. Become proficient with the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and OnBase software platform for workflows and file storage.
  11. Acquire and maintain a strong working knowledge of compliance regulations.
  12. Additional duties as assigned.
  13. Areas of specialization include:
    1. The sales and servicing of organizational investment management and endowment accounts.
    2. Establish relationships with organizations and our Medicare Supplement specialists through individual referrals and the promotion of our regularly recurring seminars to their employees.
    3. The sales and servicing of employer sponsored group retirement plans.
    4. Refer leaders, employees, and other individual prospects to Everence Financial Planners as appropriate.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred; willingness to pursue other designations

Experience:

  1. Administrative or sales experience, preferably in the financial services industry
  2. A background in teaching, fundraising, or sales are beneficial skills (willing to train)

Skills and Abilities:

  1. High attention to detail and organization. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal, respectful, diplomatic, and professional in interactions with others.
  2. Ability to explain complex financial concepts in an easily understood manner.
  3. Willingness to follow a process of uncovering needs among prospective and existing Everence clients, with a goal of personally generating new business and/or referring opportunities to other colleagues.
  4. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team, working effectively with other support service team members.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and ability to learn multiple database programs.
  6. Self-disciplined and demanding of oneself; self-starter; motivation to excel, strong persuasive skills, and energetic.
  7. Strong ambition and desire to generate new business and a sales orientation.
  8. Results oriented, strong follow-through skills.
  9. Possess ego strength (resiliency) to respond to both positive and negative outcomes.
  10. When required from a compliance perspective, willing to disclose and certify all personal investment accounts, including any accounts held by your spouse, minor children, and immediate family members living in your household.
  11. Belief in the mission of Everence and willingness to gain a good general knowledge of Everence products and services with respect for Christian faith and Anabaptist values.
  12. Ability to travel regionally throughout the state of Pennsylvania on a regular basis, and nationally overnight as needed.
  13. Bilingual skills are a plus to allow Everence to better serve our diverse clients but is not a requirement.
  14. Alignment in supporting the Everence mission of empowering financial well-being for faith-inspired living

License: Obtain appropriate licenses for respective products if not currently licensed. This role would include taking an exam equivalent to the Series 65 and becoming appointed with Everence Trust Company.

Requirement: Fingerprinted to open mail and work with confidential client information.
