IT Service Desk Analyst

Akkodis is seeking a IT Service Desk Analyst contract job with a client in Erie, PA. Must hold an Associate’s in Computer Science or related field be considered. Will serve as the first point of contact for all technical support requests and incidents across the organization. This role provides timely, professional, and customer‑focused support for hardware, software, network, and application-related issues while ensuring high levels of service availability and user satisfaction. The analyst troubleshoots problems, documents solutions, and escalates complex issues to appropriate teams when necessary.

Rate Range: $17/hr. to $18hr. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

IT Service Desk Analyst Responsibilities Include:

• Serve as the primary contact for users seeking assistance via phone, email, chat, or service management portal.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, operating systems, and business applications.
• Diagnosing and resolving network connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, VPN, LAN).
• Assist with user accounts, password resets, access requests, and permissions management.
• Install, configure, and update software and hardware as required.
• Log all incidents and requests into the IT service management (ITSM) system with accurate details and categorization.
• Prioritize and manage open tickets to meet service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Escalate issues to Tier 2 or specialized teams when applicable.
• Follow documented workflows, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
• Deliver exceptional, professional, and empathetic service to all users.
• Communicate incident status, next steps, and resolution details clearly and effectively.
• Provide basic training to users on common tools, applications, and best practices.

Desired Qualifications:

• Associate’s in Computer Science or related field is required.
• Minimum Two years related experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS environments.
• Experience with Office 365, Active Directory, and common enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with ticketing/ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Cherwell, etc.).
• Understanding basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).

Pay Details:

$17.00 to $18.00 per hour
