Nexagen Networks continues expanding its cleared operations footprint while supporting the United States Army and Joint missions across secure facilities. We are growing our team of cleared professionals across engineering, cybersecurity, networking, and mission-critical disciplines.
As a Network Engineer, you will monitor, configure, and maintain secure network infrastructures while supporting systems engineering and technical management processes throughout the acquisition and sustainment lifecycle. You will translate operational requirements into technical specifications and ensure network solutions meet mission objectives.
Position Responsibilities
• Monitor network performance to ensure system availability, reliability, and optimal resource utilization.
• Configure and install network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and QoS components.
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including patches, service packs, hot fixes, and security configurations.
• Conduct capacity planning, system trending, and performance analysis.
• Coordinate with vendors and IT personnel to resolve technical issues and support infrastructure changes in accordance with configuration management policies.
• Execute systems engineering technical and technical management processes in support of cyber and IT system acquisitions.
• Analyze and translate operational requirements into system specifications and document requirements in approved repositories such as JIRA.
• Perform mission analyses, trade-off studies, and materiel solution analyses to evaluate proposed designs.
• Develop architectural designs, alternative solutions, system models, and decision analyses.
• Produce and review technical documentation, including Systems Engineering Plans (SEPs), engineering studies, reports, and technical evaluations.
• Support milestone reviews and technical events, including SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR, and provide rapid-response engineering support.
• Analyze equipment and software deficiencies, develop and test corrective solutions, and support engineering evaluations of vendor Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited college or university required; degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or Computer Programming preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Network Engineer within the DoD environment.
• Demonstrated experience supporting secure, enterprise-level network infrastructures.
• Strong familiarity with DoD systems engineering processes and lifecycle acquisition support.
